Replacement of Teachers Who Exited Service in Public Primary, Junior, and Secondary Schools – December 2024
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) invites applications to fill 8,707 vacancies to replace teachers who exited the service due to natural attrition. The available positions are distributed as follows:
- Primary Schools: 5,862 posts
- Junior Schools: 21 posts
- Secondary Schools: 2,824 posts
Teachers recruited under this program will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for recruitment, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Nationality: Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Qualifications:
- For Primary Schools: Must hold a P1 Certificate.
- For Junior and Secondary Schools: Must hold a Diploma in Education.
- Registration: Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.

The application portal will be open from Tuesday, 31st December 2024 to Midnight, 13th January 2025.

General Information
- The TSC Recruitment Guidelines for the 2024/2025 Financial Year will apply.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates during interviews.
- Successful candidates must only submit one Application for Employment Form. Submission of more than one form will result in disqualification.
- Manual applications will not be considered.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously been employed by the Teachers Service Commission.
