Available Positions

1. Teachers for Primary Schools – 5,862 Positions

Job Description:

Deliver the approved primary school curriculum to learners.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessment tools.
Monitor learners’ progress and provide feedback to both students and parents.
Maintain discipline, safety, and a conducive learning environment within the classroom.
Engage in co-curricular activities and other school programs as required.

2. Teachers for Junior Schools – 21 Positions

Job Description:

Implement the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) for junior secondary learners.
Guide students through applied learning and skill development in specific subjects.
Prepare and administer continuous assessment tests.
Participate in curriculum development workshops and teacher development programs.
Collaborate with school administrators to ensure holistic learner development.

3. Teachers for Secondary Schools – 2,824 Positions

Job Description:

Teach and assess learners in specialized subjects aligned with the secondary school curriculum.
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and subject-specific teaching aids.
Prepare students for national examinations and other assessments.
Maintain records of learner performance and provide academic counseling.
Participate in extracurricular programs, mentorship, and school community initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following general requirements to qualify for recruitment:

Be a Kenyan citizen.
Must be registered as a teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Recruitment Guidelines: The recruitment process will adhere to the TSC Recruitment Guidelines for the 2024/2025 Financial Year.
Verification of Documents: Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates during the interview process.
One Application Only: Applicants must submit only one Application for Employment Form. Submitting multiple forms will result in automatic disqualification.

Preference: Candidates who have not previously been employed by the TSC will be given priority.
