    Use a headline that follows this formula: Job Title | Skills & Keywords | Achievement.
    This gives recruiters a clear snapshot of your expertise and accomplishments. For example, instead of “Software Developer,” write something like: “Full-Stack Developer | Python, JavaScript | Delivered 30% Efficiency Boost in Web Applications.”
  2. Enable the “Open to Work” Feature (For Recruiters Only):
    Turn on the “Open to Work” setting and make it visible to recruiters only. This discreet feature lets hiring professionals know you’re available without broadcasting it to everyone on your network.
  3. Personalize Connection Requests to Recruiters:
    When connecting with recruiters, always include a personal note. A short, professional message explaining why you’re reaching out makes you stand out. For example:
    “Hi [Name], I see you’re recruiting for [Industry]. I’d love to connect as I’m exploring opportunities in [Field/Role]. Let me know how I can assist!”
  4. Fill Out Your Profile Thoroughly:
    Ensure your About, Experience, and Skills sections are complete and optimized with relevant keywords. Highlight your achievements and responsibilities in previous roles to showcase your value.
  5. Include Your Contact Information in the About Section:
    Make it easy for recruiters to reach you. Add your email address in your About section so they can contact you directly.

  1. Avoid Generic Headlines Like “Actively Looking for New Job”:
    A headline like this doesn’t say anything about your skills or expertise. Instead, use the headline to show what you bring to the table, as mentioned above.
  2. Don’t Turn Off “Open to Work”:
    Keeping the Open to Work feature off limits your visibility to recruiters who are actively searching for candidates like you.
  3. Avoid Spamming Easy Apply:
    Don’t mass-apply to 200+ positions indiscriminately. Instead, focus on roles where your skills and experience are a good match. Tailor your applications for better results.
  4. Don’t Leave Key Sections Blank:
    An incomplete profile signals a lack of effort. A blank About or Experience section makes it harder for recruiters to understand your qualifications and expertise.
  5. Don’t Attach a Resume to Highlights:
    Avoid uploading your resume to the Highlights section. This isn’t the proper place for it and could expose personal information. Instead, let your LinkedIn profile itself act as your resume.
