The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) is a state corporation established under the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 to regulate the creation, broadcast, possession, distribution, and exhibition of films and broadcast content. To enhance its capacity to fulfill this statutory mandate, KFCB is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Door Attendants on casual terms of service. The positions will be based at the Nairobi Film Centre (formerly Nairobi Cinema) located at Uchumi House, Nairobi.
The Nairobi Film Centre operates 24 hours a day, including weekends. Successful candidates will provide essential operational support to the facility, ensuring smooth operations and top-notch service delivery to clients.

Job Description
As a Door Attendant, you will play a key role in managing the Nairobi Film Centre’s day-to-day activities and providing excellent customer service to guests. Your duties will include:
- Facility Access Management
- Opening and closing access points/doors of the facility.
- Ensuring proper security protocols are observed at all times.
- Maintenance Oversight
- Reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the officer in charge.
- Documenting and reporting any incidents, accidents, or hazards within the facility.
- Client Interaction
- Directing event booking requests to the appropriate officer.
- Providing accurate information to clients/guests regarding space availability, operating hours, and other inquiries.
- Security Assistance
- Assisting security guards in maintaining a safe environment within the facility.
- Supporting the security team during emergencies or unexpected incidents.
- Crowd Control and Event Monitoring
- Managing crowds during events, ensuring smooth flow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitoring events to address any disruptions or safety concerns promptly.
- Other Duties
- Performing other related tasks as assigned by the officer in charge of the facility.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: At least three years of relevant experience in facility management, janitorial services, door attendant roles, or security.
- Age: Must be between 25 and 40 years old.
- Physical Fitness: Applicants must be physically fit to perform the duties required.
- Certifications: Applicants must hold at least one of the following certificates:
- First Aid
- Firefighting
- Crowd Control
- Monitoring and Surveillance
- Self-Defense
- Customer Service
- Communications
- Police Clearance: A valid certificate of good conduct/police clearance is mandatory.
- Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Kiswahili is required.
