4 things in a resume that HR evaluates:
1. Work experience.
Relevant working experience for the position you are applying for, including the industry and achievements or contributions that the candidate has made in his previous job.
(There are extra tips for fresh grads at the end)
2. Soft & technical skills.
Are there any necessary skills that are suitable for the position. Examples include communication skills, leadership, web developer, database management, software engineering, etc.
3. Education.
What is the candidate’s background education and is it relevant to the position. If there is a certificate or additional course, you can get extra marks.
4. Format and structure of the resume.
From the order of the resume, it can also determine the professional level of a candidate. A neat and well-organized resume can also score extra marks. If there is a typo/misspelling, indeed cut off the mark.
Extra: As a fresh grader, what does HR value?
• Extracurricular. Experience in organizations that demonstrate organizational skills, leadership skills, communication, etc.
• Internship. What projects/works are involved in the internship first. And look at the extent to which the candidate has adapted to the world of work.
•Volunteer. Showing whether the candidate is responsible and willing to help others or other things that have added value.
