We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our team as an Officer – Training within Jubilee Life Insurance Limited. Reporting to the Head of Agency Training, you will design, develop, and deliver impactful training programs, equipping our agents with the knowledge, tools, and skills to excel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Excellence
- Deliver training programs and courses for the Life Company Sales Force.
- Conduct training needs analysis and organize training based on identified requirements.
- Develop, review, and maintain training curricula, materials, manuals, and tools related to Life Assurance.
- Assess training impact and effectiveness through regular evaluations.
- Prepare timely and targeted training reports for relevant managers.
- Schedule and execute training activities as per the training calendar.
- Ensure optimal participation in each training session through effective control mechanisms.
- Address product-related queries from agents and develop testing and evaluation procedures.
- Coordinate COP/ECOP registrations and manage payments with the College of Insurance.
- Oversee the registration and tracking of agents in the Life Agency Portal, ensuring timely updates.
- Analyze and track market training trends, staying updated on industry developments and competitor activities.
- Facilitate the recruitment and training of new agents and managers in collaboration with agency, bancassurance, and alternative channel leadership.
- Assist in identifying and opening new markets.
- Deliver presentations on Personal Financial Management as part of market activation initiatives.
2. Corporate Governance
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, underwriting best practices, and industry standards.
- Adhere to Kenya’s laws and insurance regulations while observing internal company policies and procedures.
- Establish mitigation strategies for emerging business risks to ensure seamless operations.
3. Culture Development
- Promote ethical practices, good corporate citizenship, and a conducive work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance company culture through positive and inclusive initiatives.
- Develop personalized growth plans that align individual career aspirations with organizational objectives.
Key Competencies
- Training and Facilitation: Expertise in designing and delivering effective training programs using engaging methodologies.
- Communication and Presentation: Strong verbal and written skills for clear and impactful content delivery.
- Relationship Building: Ability to foster positive relationships with agents, creating a supportive learning environment.
- Analytical Thinking: Skill in assessing training needs, analyzing performance gaps, and creating targeted solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Proficiency in identifying challenges and implementing solutions to improve training effectiveness.
Academic Background & Relevant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, or related fields.
- Certified Trainer Qualification.
- ECOP Qualification.
- Diploma in Insurance or additional qualifications such as LOMA/CII/IIK are advantageous.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
