1. Director, Operations (Grade SA 2) – 1 Vacancy
Job Description:
The Director, Operations will oversee and manage the core operational functions of KEMSA, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution of medical supplies. This position will ensure that supply chain processes are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant regulations. The successful candidate will lead strategic initiatives to optimize the Authority’s operational performance and align it with national healthcare goals.
2. Officer, Board Secretariat Unit (Grade SA 4) – 1 Vacancy
Job Description:
The Officer in the Board Secretariat Unit will provide administrative and legal support to the KEMSA Board of Directors. Responsibilities include preparing board meeting documents, ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards, and maintaining accurate records of board resolutions and other key decisions. The position requires a high level of discretion and organizational skills.
3. Security Officer (Grade SA 5) – 1 Vacancy
Job Description:
The Security Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing security policies and procedures to safeguard KEMSA’s assets, personnel, and infrastructure. This includes conducting risk assessments, coordinating with external security agencies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role is critical to maintaining a secure working environment across all KEMSA facilities.
4. Senior Accountant (Grade SA 6) – 8 Vacancies
Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls within KEMSA. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting audits. The role demands strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of KEMSA’s financial records.
5. Accountant II (Grade SA 8) – 12 Vacancies
Job Description:
Accountant II will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and processing payments. They will support the preparation of financial reports and assist in maintaining accurate financial records. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in finance within the public health sector.
Requirements for All Positions
Candidates must provide documents to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya (2010):
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
- A valid Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- A current credit report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
