Please… please! Don’t put these 10 sentences out of your mouth during an interview.
This is a list of things you should avoid during the interview 👇🏻
❌ “What does this company do?”
This is the kind of show that you lack of preparation. Before coming to the interview, you should have done your research.
❌ “I hated my last job/boss.”
Don’t talk negatively about having past employers.
❌ “I just want any job.”
Don’t be honest and talk like this. People usually ask questions like this because why you apply and choose to work near their company.
❌ “I’m not great at [skill required for the job].”
Reframe your weaknesses in a positive way, showing how you’re improving.
❌ “I’m not sure why I applied for this role.”
If you answer like this, it seems to show that you lack of intention to work there.
❌ “I’m a perfectionist.”
The cliché answer that the employer is tired of hearing. Try to discuss a specific strength of yours.
❌ “What’s the salary for this role?”
Never talk about money until the interviewer does. Remember ye.
❌ “I don’t have any questions.”
Make sure you have prepared the questions you want to ask. Only then did I see that you are really interested.
❌ “I prefer working alone.”
Most jobs require teamwork, so show your flexibility to work in a group.
❌ “How soon can I get promoted?”
You should focus on excelling in the current role first before discussing future roles.
Hopefully this sharing is useful for all 😉 of you
