INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME OPPORTUNITIES

Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is a State Corporation established under the KBC Act (Cap. 221) and operates under the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy. Committed to delivering excellence in broadcasting services, KBC informs, educates, and entertains the public through Radio, Television, and Digital Media platforms.
As part of its mandate to develop and nurture young talent, the Corporation is pleased to announce six (6) internship opportunities across various departments. The internships will last for a maximum (non-renewable) period of twelve (12) months.
We are looking for motivated, innovative, and qualified individuals to join our team in the following roles:
Internship Positions and Responsibilities
1. Technical Services Department (Transmission/Production) – 1 Position
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of broadcasting equipment.
- Support the operation of transmission systems to ensure uninterrupted services.
- Collaborate with the production team to manage technical requirements during live and recorded programs.
2. Television Programmes Department (Design) – 1 Position
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design creative visual content for TV programs.
- Work with 3D graphic tools to produce animations and other visual effects.
- Support the team in conceptualizing innovative designs for broadcasting materials.
3. Radio Services Department (Creative) – 1 Position
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of engaging and high-quality radio content.
- Assist in editing scripts and preparing audio materials for broadcast.
- Support the creative team in conducting audience research and crafting tailored programs.
4. Digital Department – 2 Positions
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage digital platforms, including websites and mobile apps.
- Create, manage, and schedule engaging content for social media platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize digital campaigns.
5. Legal Department – 1 Position
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting legal documents and preparing reports.
- Conduct legal research to support the Corporation’s legal team.
- Participate in planning and organizing activities for compliance and risk mitigation.
Who We Are Looking For
- Youthful individuals between 21 and 34 years old.
- Recent graduates from college or university, not earlier than 2019.
What You’ll Need to Submit If Selected
Upon successful selection, interns will be required to provide the following documents:
- Personal accident insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
- Medical insurance cover through NHIF or a reputable insurance provider.
- PIN Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority.
- NSSF card.
- Two colored passport-sized photographs.
- Bank account details.
- A recommendation or reference letter from your college or university.
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
